ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis teen is facing several charges after fleeing from police last week.

According to a probable cause statement, police were attempting to stop 19-year-old Cameron Fuller’s vehicle for unreadable license plates at Vermont Avenue and Schirmer Street in south St. Louis Friday.

As officers walked up to the car, Fuller fled out of the area at high speeds. The police officers stopped following Fuller shortly after for community safety, court records said.

Another officer saw the teen at the intersection of Germania and Alabama avenues as Fuller struck another vehicle that was passing through the intersection. According to records, that victim sustained injuries in the ankle, arm, and chest, and the victim’s vehicle was totaled.

Police attempted to arrest Fuller, but were met with resistance as he refused to get out of the car and put his hands behind his back. Officers stated that when searching through the vehicle, they found brass knuckles and a ghost gun without a serial number.

While getting a closer look at the license plates on the vehicle, police then realized it was a photo-copy of a Missouri plate attached onto a piece of cardboard, sealed with a plastic plate cover.

Fuller is facing seven charges for the incident, which include:

  • Second-degree assault
  • Armed criminal action
  • Aggravated fleeing a stop or detention
  • Forgery
  • Resisting or interfering with arrest for a felony
  • Unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repair or sale of illegal weapon
  • First-degree property damage

Court records state that Fuller was wanted by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for unlawful use of a weapon and from the St. Louis County Police Department for first-degree assault.
