LOUISIANA, Mo. – A Missouri man faces criminal charges after he allegedly assaulted a woman while pretending to be an immigration officer, according to court records and police documents.

The Pike County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Bryan Golbricht, 24, of Louisiana, Missouri, with first-degree burglary, first-degree harassment, fourth-degree assault, and falsely impersonating a law enforcement officer in connection with the investigation.

The charges stem from an incident Wednesday evening in Louisiana, Missouri, according to a probable cause statement from the Louisiana Police Department.

The probable cause statement states that Golbricht busted through a door of a woman’s home and asked her for legal paperwork while she was on the phone with another witness, whom police identified as her translator.

Goldbricht allegedly made threats to arrest the woman and remove her from the home if she didn’t show legal documents while identifying himself as an immigration officer, according to a phone call recording from the witness cited in the probable cause statement.

Court documents further allege that Goldbricht momentarily placed his hand around the woman’s neck, pushed her against a fridge and counter, and threatened to point a gun at her head.

Per court documents, when verified law enforcement officers responded to the home, Goldbricht gave consent to officers to search his vehicle for a firearm, but a firearm was not found.

The probable cause statement states that Louisiana Police Department body-worn cameras captured an “incident” while responding to the scene, though it’s unclear what exactly was captured on the footage.

According to online Missouri court records, a warrant was issued for Golbricht’s arrest on Friday. The warrant orders a cash-only bond of $50,000 upon his arrest.
