ST. LOUIS – Police are searching for a suspect who stole a woman’s car at gunpoint on Saturday afternoon in south St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the robbery occurred on Potomac Street in south St. Louis’ Gravois Park neighborhood.
The incident unfolded when the suspect initially asked the woman to use her phone, police said. He then threw her to the ground, held a gun to her head, and demanded her car keys.
The stolen car was later found abandoned nearby with the parking brake activated and the car keys were recovered in the middle of the street, police said.
