FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. – Gray Summit’s Purina Farms Visitor Center will remain closed for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The news comes after a devastating category 2 tornado that impacted Franklin County on March 14.
Alongside the Visitor Center, the Education Bar, the Pet Adoption Center and the Incredible Dog Arena experienced significant damage because of the weather.
Employees and animals at the time of the event weren’t injured, according to Purina.
One center, however, sustained no damages from the tornado’s impact.
The Event Center, a separate structure, will host events as scheduled during the remainder of the season.
“We are still assessing the full extent of the property damage and will provide updates on how this will impact any future events scheduled at Purina Farms,” Purina said on its website. “In the meantime, we will remain closed to all visitors until further notice.”
