CHESTERFFIELD, Mo. – A tornado likely rolled through parts of Chesterfield and nearby municipalities Wednesday afternoon, based on FOX 2 radar indications and preliminary information FOX 2 has analyzed from the National Weather Service.

Preliminary information indicates there may have been some tornado movement near Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley and Wildwood, with some radar action tracked near Kehrs Mill Road and Strecker Road.

FOX 2 radars suggest the radar-indicated tornado likely passed a few minutes before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning around that time, though a watch had not been issued directly before then.

Rain and thunderstorms initially appeared to be the biggest threats with tornado possibilities uncertain.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has confirmed minor damage to around six homes in west St. Louis County as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, but no injuries have been reported to this point.

No additional tornado warnings or watches are expected as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, but some rain and flooding chances may still persist.
