ST. LOUIS – A tornado may have rolled through parts of St. Louis City and Clayton on Friday afternoon, based on FOX 2 radar indications and preliminary information FOX 2 has analyzed from the National Weather Service.

Preliminary information indicates there may have been a tornado that began just east of Hanley Road in Clayton that moved northeast toward Newstead Avenue and Page Boulevard in St. Louis, possibly through parts of Big Bend, Skinker, and North Kingshighway.

A powerful storm system rolled through the St. Louis region and is now heading east through Illinois. Hail, high winds and heavy rain are among the biggest threats.
