ST. LOUIS – A cut-off area of low pressure is drifting north from the Gulf Coast. This will bring scattered showers and some thundershowers to the St. Louis area on Monday.

When it is not raining, expect mostly cloudy skies and top temperatures in the mid-70s. Showers should decrease for Monday evening. Overnight temperatures will drop into the low 60s, with mostly cloudy conditions.

After a dry start Tuesday, scattered storms should redevelop along and east of the Mississippi River on Tuesday afternoon. The temperature is expected to reach highs in the mid- to upper 70s.

As the low pulls farther away into Wednesday, we are going to heat things up. Expect highs in the mid-80s on Wednesday and around 90 F on Thursday. These temperatures will be followed up by a chance for thunderstorms Friday as a pair of cold fronts cools us down for the weekend.
