ST. LOUIS – Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will hang around the St. Louis area Thursday and Friday as a pair of cold fronts sweep across the region. The positive news is that the risk for severe weather will be lower these next two days.

Wednesday’s heavier rain has moved out, but scattered light showers may linger Thursday morning. This afternoon, ahead of the first cold front, we’ll see a round of scattered thunderstorms. While some storms may bring gusty winds and small hail, the conditions aren’t right for organized severe weather.

A second cold front arrives on Friday, keeping the chance for scattered showers and storms around through the afternoon. This front will knock temperatures back noticeably for the weekend.
