RED BUD, Ill. – As summer rapidly approaches, the school year is coming to an end. High School Seniors are also getting ready for their next adventures.

For seniors in Red Bud, Illinois, Friday was their last day of school, and they had something they wanted to pass on. It’s a new tradition for the little ones who are just getting started.

Red Bud High School Seniors are ‘Passing the Spirit’ to kindergartners. It’s a new tradition, starting on opposite ends of the football field and meeting in the middle. Seniors gave hand written notes to their young counterparts and spent time talking about anything and everything, from what they want to do when they get older, to what’s their favorite part of kindergarten.

The High School Principal said a student hatched the idea.

The high schoolers enjoyed the event along with the young ones just getting started in their academic careers.
