ST. LOUIS – Services are set to resume Feb. 24 at the Emerson Park Metrolink station, the Blue Line Metrolink announced Friday.

Since mid-January, Blue Line trains only operated between Interstate 44’s Shrewsbury-Lansdowne and Forest Park-DeBaliviere stations due to daily single-track operations.

These operations created delays for customers, according to the news release.

“Resuming Blue Line service to the Emerson Park MetroLink Station requires careful train coordination and track management to prevent serious delays,” said Charles Stewart, chief operating officer of Metro Transit. “We are working as quickly as possible to finalize these operational details so we can provide our customers with better MetroLink service starting on Monday. Ensuring the safety of our customers and our MetroLink operators is our top priority.”

With services resuming next Monday, Red Line trains will operate between Lambert Airport and Shiloh-Scott MetroLink stations, as well as Blue Line trains will operate between Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Emerson Park MetroLink stations.

Customers using Blue Line do not need to transfer to the Red Line train at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere station. However, customers using Blue Line who are traveling east of Emerson Park must transfer to Red Line trains to continue their trips.

Customers are encouraged to check their local stations, as some Metrolink schedules may have been impacted. Further information regarding updates or schedules can be found here.
