BALLWIN, Mo. – Attention, bargain hunters. The Curvy Cutie Approved Pop-Up Shop has arrived!
Be sure to visit the Ballwin Golf Course and Event Center on June 11 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to discover affordable high-end clothing and accessories from Jeania Layman’s carefully curated collection.
A self-described “fashionista,” Jeania Layman passed away in March of 2025, leaving a majority of her collection brand-new and untouched.
“She would love for people to find a good deal and find something that makes them feel beautiful,” explained her daughter, Jasmine Abernathy. “And that’s what’s really important.”
Jasmine, who serves as the event organizer, created this event to pass on the wonderful deals to the community in honor of her mother’s legacy.
There are a few different ways to shop: you can look through and purchase items at sticker price like normal, or you can fill a bag for $75, a box for $100. Or if the collection seems overwhelming, try a Mystery Box at $50 for clothing all in the same size.
The clothing ranges from size Large – XXXL and among the collection, you’ll find brands like Vera Bradley, UGG, Michael Kors and many more.
The event has a $5 entry fee, going to the Urban League to help provide relief from the recent tornado that struck the St. Louis area on May 16.
Additionally, the profits from this sale will cover funeral costs for Layman.
