ST. LOUIS – Six Flags St. Louis will introduce a new smoke-free policy for the upcoming season, banning smoking, e-cigarettes, and vaping devices inside both its main theme park and the water park.
Six Flags St. Louis announced the policy Thursday via social media. Organizers say the move is aimed at creating a healthier and safer environment for all guests.
A Facebook post from the amusement park reads, in part, “Six Flags St. Louis and Hurricane Harbor are committed to promoting a healthier, safer, and more welcoming environment where thrill-seekers of all ages come together to enjoy a one-of-a-kind park full of fun experiences. To support this commitment, we are implementing a smoke-free policy inside our theme park and water park.”
The statement adds, “Smoking will not be permitted inside the park, including e-cigarettes and vapes.”
Organizers say there will be a designated smoking area just outside of the theme park’s main gate between ticket takers and metal detection crews. Guests can get their hand stamp to reenter the park after using the smoking area, if desired.
Six Flags St. Louis also added that it will “prohibit smoking marijuana at any time, even in the designated smoking area.”
Six Flags St. Louis will open for its 2025 season on Saturday, April 5. For more information on the amusement park, including tickets, click here.
