ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating reported smash-and-grab burglaries at neighboring businesses early Wednesday morning in south St. Louis.
The incident took place on the 2800 block of Cherokee Street between Oregon and California Avenues in the Benton Park West neighborhood.
Police say someone smashed the front doors of the Taqueria El Bronco restaurant and the Economic Shop convenience store.
Police were searching for clues as the store’s owners showed up to clean up the broken glass and determine if anything was stolen.
