ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Charles County man will be arraigned next month for allegedly keeping thousands of images and videos containing child sexual abuse material.

According to the St. Charles County Police Department’s probable cause statement, local investigators were notified on Aug. 13, 2024, of a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about suspected child pornography on a Google user’s account.

The cyber tip included 43 uploaded files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The user information on the account, including email address and IP address, belonged to Jamie L. Andrews, 35.

On Aug. 19, 2024, Google provided investigators with information showing 304 items containing CSAM tied to Andrews’ Gmail account.

The probable cause statement provides graphic descriptions of the content of a select number of the files. FOX 2 News will not include those descriptions.

On Aug. 23, 2024, the St. Charles County Cyber Crime Task Force and members of the county SWAT Team conducted a search of Andrews’ home on Oak Point Drive. Police confiscated Andrews’ phone and laptop.

Police said Andrews admitted to possessing and looking at the illicit material, something he’d only recently started to do. He told investigators he’d gone online to try and find new friends and met people on the website Strangers Chat and the app Zangi Private Messenger. Andrews said other users sent him CSAM and that he became addicted to trading files of the material.

Investigators received a DVD containing all child porn images and videos in Andrews’ possession, for a total of 1,939 files of CSAM.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Andrews with possession of child pornography. Andrews remains jailed on a $250,000 cash-only bond. His arraignment is scheduled for June 18.
