ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Charles man appeared in St. Louis County Circuit Court Thursday morning to face allegations he had inappropriate sexual contact with a child at the daycare where he worked.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the offenses took place between Jan. 1, 2023, and Aug. 21, 2024, at the Here We Grow Early Care and Education in Webster Groves.
Police said the victim, who was under 12 years of age at the time of the crimes, told investigators that Christopher Titus (age not disclosed) touched her inappropriately on several occasions, including rubbing his genitals on her.
Titus met with investigators for an interview and, according to police, admitted to committing various sex acts with the victim multiple times.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Titus with two counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of second-degree child molestation – victim less than 12. Titus remains jailed on a $1 million cash-only bond.
