ST. LOUIS – Today marks National Pi Day, a celebration of the mathematical constant, and businesses in St. Louis are joining in on the fun with the festivities and special deals.

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 because the date, 3/14, represents the first three digits of Pi, 3.14, the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. 

This day has become an opportunity for local businesses, especially those selling pizza, to offer special promotions.

Papa John’s is offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal for rewards members, while CiCi’s Pizza is also providing a similar buy-one-get-one offer.

The St. Louis Science Center is hosting Pi Day celebrations that include math games, energy stage productions, a cheese ball challenge and pizza puzzles.
