ST. LOUIS – St. Louis City SC announced four new food vendors Tuesday, which are set to debut at Energizer Park for the 2025 season.
These restaurants—all St. Louis-based and part of the organization’s 100% local CITY Flavor initiative—include Pappy’s Smokehouse, Damn Fine Hand Pies, Bolyard’s and Chicken Scratch.
“We wanted Energizer Park to really feel like St. Louis and represent as many different areas of St. Louis as possible so that it is almost kind of a food map to our city,” said Gerard Craft, James Beard Award-winning chef.
Nate Hereford, the owner of Chicken Scratch, expressed excitement in partnering with St. Louis SC.
“There’s a ton of energy behind the food and supporting the local restaurants and chefs,” Hereford said. “It’s an honor to be asked to be a part of it.”
Another owner, Chris Bolyard, shared gratitude for being an integral part of the high-energy that comes out of Energizer Park, from the fans to the cuisine.
“It’s amazing for St. Louis. We’re such a food town,” Bolyard said. “(And) St. Louis comes out to prove that. Everyone comes out to eat.”
The organization hopes that investing locally benefits the businesses outside of game day.
“We like that aspect as well, that fans are coming into our stadium and experiencing some of these restaurants for the first time and then on Tuesday or Wednesday, they’re going to try them in Webster Groves or Tower Grove,” Matt Sebeck, St. Louis CITY SC’s chief experience officer, said.
St. Louis City SC said their local business model they have at Energizer Park brought in over $2 million dollars to the local businesses they collaborated with last season.
