CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – A St. Louis County man was arrested for an armed robbery on Thursday.
Brandon Knobel, 22, is being charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, and stealing.
The incident occurred at a 7-Eleven in Chesterfield, as Knobel allegedly walked behind the counter, put a gun to the side of the employee and demanded money. The employee complied, and Knobel left the store on foot after receiving cash and cigarettes.
Police responded to the scene after a citizen in the area alerted officers and gave them the direction where Knobel ran on foot. Knobel was arrested and the gun was recovered once more officers arrived and an area canvass was conducted.
Knobel is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond with no 10 percent.
