ST. LOUIS – St. Louis City firefighters battled flames from a vacant home in south city that spread to a neighboring house.

The fire happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday night on Osage Street off of Missouri Avenue near I-55 in the Marine Villa neighborhood.

The fire started in a two-story vacant building but quickly jumped to the home next door.

Crews called in two additional teams to help contain the flames.

So far there are no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters believe people live in the second home that caught fire but were not there at the time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
