ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man remains jailed without bond for allegedly drugging and having unwanted sexual contact with a teenager.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the crime took place on May 17 off South Kingshighway Boulevard. A more specific location could not be provided.

Police said Adam B. Hampson, 39, offered give the victim, a 16-year-old boy, a ride home on his moped. While on the way to the house, Hampson allegedly gave the victim a drink from a glass bottle.

The victim later told police the beverage tasted like vinegar and soapy water, and that he began to lose control of his body shortly after drinking the liquid.

Police said Hampson pulled into an alley off S. Kingshighway, took the teen off the moped, and committed a sex act on the victim. Hampson then dropped the teen off near his home in the Dutchtown neighborhood.

Hampson was arrested on the evening of May 26.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Hampson with second-degree statutory sodomy. Hampson has a 2015 conviction for a similar crime. Online records did not indicate when Hampson will appear in court.
