ST. LOUIS – A man accused of multiple robberies from Facebook Marketplace meetups in St. Louis this year is now behind bars.

Jerod Scott, 27, of St. Louis, has been charged with 10 felonies and two misdemeanors in connection with a series of robberies linked to online transaction, according to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Scott robbed at least four victims, including at least three at gunpoint, after setting up bogus transactions on Facebook Marketplace. Scott reportedly robbed victims of items such as a cell phone, a lamp, shoes and two electric fireplaces.

The robberies occurred at various locations in the City of St. Louis between Jan. 25 and March 2.

After the latest robbery, police executed a search warrant at Scott’s home, where they discovered multiple firearms, some loaded, and two unattended three-year old children.

Scott was arrested on Monday and booked into jail in St. Louis without bond, per Missouri court records.

The Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Scott with three counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of armed criminal action, three counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of stealing.
