ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Metropolitan Police issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted for first-degree murder in a fatal shooting last month.
According to the SLMPD probable cause statement, Revon A. Swinney, 42, fatally shot another man at 3607 Hamilton in the city’s Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood on October 12.
Allegedly, Swinney approached the victim’s vehicle and, after conversing with him, pulled out a gun and fatally shot him. Another victim was in the vehicle and immediately exited the car after being in the line of fire during the shooting.
Surveillance video at a surrounding motel captured the shooting on camera. Police said when an employee of the motel was shown photos from the video, they were able to provide Swinney’s identity.
