ST. LOUIS — A nonprofit in St. Louis, Dads to Doulas, was featured on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday and was even awarded a special gift for their empowerment of Black fathers in the area.

Brad Edwards and Kyra Betts founded Dads to Doulas to empower Black fathers to advocate for their families during pregnancy and beyond.

Edwards shared his story on The Jennifer Hudson Show of how this mission began after his twin sons were stillborn and the need he experienced during that time of grieving for education and encouragement.

Edwards had learned other fathers had the same questions he had about birth and parenting. Betts partnered with him to create a training program, Dads to Doulas, that educates Black men about pregnancy and postpartum.

As the team looks to expand, Hudson surprised Edwards and Beets with a $10,000 gift courtesy of Pampers to put toward their mission.
