ST. LOUIS – If you’re looking for a place to play a round of golf in the area, you’re in luck.
Golf Digest recently named the best golf courses throughout Missouri, and according to them, the St. Louis area has seven—more than anywhere else in the state.
The magazine highlighted the Gateway City, noting it as “where much of the history in the state is.”
The list included:

- #12: Branson Hills Golf Club in Branson
- #11: Country Club of St. Albans: Lewis and Clark in Saint Albans
- #10: The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach
- #9: Country Club of St. Albans: Tavern Creek in Saint Albans
- #8: Big Cedar Lodge: Buffalo Ridge in Hollister
- #7: Big Cedar Lodge: Payne’s Valley in Hollister
- #6: Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau
- #5: Boone Valley Golf Club in Augusta
- #4: Old Warson Country Club in St. Louis
- #3: Big Cedar Lodge: Ozarks National in Hollister
- #2: Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis

Golf Digest specifically highlighted Bellerive Country Club’s accomplishment of hosting the PGA Championship in 2018 and the design of St. Louis Country Club, which makes it a consistent contender in their top 100 golf courses in the country.
