ST. PETERS, Mo. – The owner and manager of Affordable Kitchens and Baths, a remodeling company based in St. Peters, have both been charged in connection with a fraud case involving at least 10 victims and tens of thousands of dollars.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally filed charges Wednesday against Britney Callier, 55, and Lonnie Walker, 54, each with 10 felony counts of stealing ($750 or more).
The St. Peters Police Department, in a news release Friday, identified Callier as the owner and Walker as a manager of Affordable Kitchens and Baths.
The charges stem from a lengthy investigation that determined that Walker and Callier accepted payments for renovation work that was never completed, according to St. Peters police.
In recent months, customers reported to police that phone calls to the company went unanswered. One victim told police they paid more than $29,000 on Oct. 1, 2024, to Callier for a bathroom remodel, but no work was performed, and all communications ended shortly afterward.
A further investigation from St. Peters police found that the business is no longer operational, and the company’s building is potentially listed for sale.
Walker and Callier are not currently in custody as of Friday, according to St. Peters police.
To date, 10 victims have been identified. Police fear there may be additional victims who have not yet reported their interactions with Walker, Callier, or Affordable Kitchens and Baths.
Anyone who believes they were defrauded by Affordable Kitchens and Baths is encouraged to contact St. Peters Detective Mike Genaro at 636-278-2244 ext. 3530 or mgenaro@stpetersmo.net.
