ST. LOUIS – St. Louis sports teams the Cardinals, Blues, Battlehawks, and CITY SC came together to raise over $155,000 for recovery efforts in response to the May 16 tornado.
The announcement of the exciting news was made during the Cardinals vs. Dodgers game on June 6, where FanDuel and Anheuser-Busch also contributed to the donations.
“Anheuser-Busch’s history is deeply intertwined with our hometown, where our people, family, friends and members of our community enjoy our beers while cheering on their favorite sports teams,” said Cesar Vargas, Chief External Affairs Officer at Anheuser-Busch.
St. Louis sports teams, however, were not alone in their initiative to help the city of St. Louis and those impacted by the disaster.
Fans of the beloved teams also contributed to the donations by purchasing raffle tickets, bidding on exclusive experiences and donating funds to Cardinals Care.
