ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Zoo will be closing its doors for a couple of days, citing Friday’s storm damage that hit St. Louis on Friday.
In a Facebook post made just after 3 p.m., the St. Louis Zoo said it was closed until the rest of Friday, emphasizing safety for visitors and the animals.
Luckily, despite the storm’s impact in the area, even killing five, no animals were hurt.
“All animals are safe and accounted for,” the zoo wrote. “And there have been no reports of significant injuries to staff, guests or animals.”
In an email, the zoo said that tomorrow, its staff members will decide if Make Tracks at the Zoo will take place Sunday.
