Storm damage reports across the Kansas City metro
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After tornado warnings, tornado watches, flash floods, and severe thunderstorm warnings hit the Kansas City metro Tuesday, reports of damage across both state lines have been rolling in.
On the Missouri side, damages have primarily been reported around the Interstate 70 corridor, near the Truman Sports Complex, and in neighborhoods throughout Independence.

On the Kansas side, flooding damage has been the primary focus, with multiple reports of severe flooding coming out of Wichita. Closer to the metro, though, Lansing has been informing residents of road closures due to excessive flooding.
Additionally, Kansas saw some road closures due to stalled vehicles and crashes, including an overturned semi on I-635 southbound at Parallel Parkway in Wyandotte County.
The same happened in Kansas City, Missouri, when another semi had blown over on I-435 southbound between Raytown Road and Eastwood Trafficway, according to Kansas City Scout.
