O’FALLON, Mo. – A teenager is in custody for a pair of stabbings over a two-day period at an O’Fallon apartment building.
According to Lt. Scott Weeke, an O’Fallon Police Department spokesman, the stabbings took place over a 24-hour period from Sunday, May 25, to Monday, May 26, at the Casalon Apartments in the 200 block of Casalon Parkway, just off Main Street.
Weeke said a 22-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman suffered serious injuries. Fortunately, the injuries were not life-threatening.
Following a two-day investigation, police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile, who confessed to stabbing both victims, Weeke said.
There is no apparent connection between the suspect and the victims, police said.
The juvenile is being held by the St. Charles County Juvenile Division on two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. Due to the suspect’s age, he will not be identified.
