ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A teen died Tuesday after a shooting that took place on Jan. 26 in Spanish Lake.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting took place around 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 26 on the 11600 block of Criterion Avenue in north St. Louis County’s Spanish Lake.

When police arrived on the scene of the shooting, they found a 14-year-old boy, Dae’wan Lindsay, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Lindsay was transferred to a local hospital for treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, a 15-year-old juvenile was taken into custody of the St. Louis County Family Court for the shooting but was later released.
