ST. LOUIS – Known for its quirky and haunted setting, The Fortune Teller Bar, located in the city’s Benton Park West neighborhood, will close at the end of the year.
The bar posted on Facebook on Monday, annoucing the closure. The bar featuring tarot card readings and unique cocktails will close on January 1. For over a decade, the bar has served the neighborhood as a unique gathering space.
“My now-spouse and I had our first date here, and we held our wedding reception here. It’s always been a space filled with love and acceptance, and I’m proud to have continued that for our friends on Cherokee and for the broader community,” said owner Ryan Schepers on Facebook.
