ST. LOUIS – Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating two people who stole a woman’s wallet in Ballpark Village and later used her stolen credit card.
According to a police spokesperson, the theft occurred in the early morning hours of April 6 at the PBR Bar in Ballpark Village.
The victim told police she was at the bar around 1 a.m. She said she’d placed her wallet and iPhone on the bar. By 3 a.m., the woman noticed her wallet and phone had been stolen.
Investigators learned the suspects, a man and a woman, later used the stolen card at several stores that same day. They were seen driving a small white SUV to and from those stores.
On Monday, police released pictures of the suspects and their vehicle to the public.
