HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. – A young girl died Wednesday morning in a rollover crash in Holts Summit, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the crash happened just after 7 a.m. on eastbound US Highway 54 at the exit ramp to Simon Boulevard.
The highway patrol said a 29-year-old man was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer when the SUV slid off the road, struck a tree, and overturned.
The young girl was pronounced dead at the scene by 7:15 a.m. She was 3.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and had to be hospitalized. A second child in the SUV, an infant, was not injured.
No one in the SUV was wearing their seat belt, according to the crash report.
