HERMANN, Mo. – A trolley carrying dozens of people crashed Saturday morning near Hermann, Missouri, injuring 32 passengers, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:45 am on Highway 100 near Eagles Nest Drive, just southwest of Hermann. The trolley, carrying at least 41 people, veered off the right side of the road while heading westbound.
The driver, a 45-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. Three other passengers were also seriously hurt. Eleven others suffered moderate injuries, while 17 had minor injuries. The victims ranged in age from 27 to 68 years old.
