ST. LOUIS – Someone shot and killed a man overnight Tuesday morning at a north St. Louis gas station. This comes after another murder in the city less than 12 hours earlier.
Both investigations are active Tuesday morning. At this point, no suspects are in custody. Detectives are trying to piece together all of the facts as both of these investigations unfold Tuesday morning.
The latest shooting took place around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday morning. District 6 officers responded to a call for a shooting at a VP gas station at Broadway and Riverview in the Baden neighborhood of north city.
Authorities say an adult man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. It appears the shooting may have happened right by the gas pumps at the station.
FOX 2’s Nissan Rogue Runner Brian Howe said it looked like the back window of a car had been shot out.
At this point, there is no word on the victim’s age or identity, as police have only said that the victim was an adult male. The murder comes after another man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in the West End neighborhood.
Officers from District 5 rushed to the scene on the 700 block of Goodfellow, just north of Delmar, for a shooting call around 3:20 p.m. Monday afternoon. When authorities arrived, they found an adult male had been shot and killed.
Homicide detectives are now working this case as well. No name or age have been released yet on this victim. There are no indications that this killing and the one from overnight are connected.
