ST. LOUIS – The snow is moving out, but the bitterly cold air is going nowhere. Some flurries continue to fall and some of the powdery snow that has already fallen is blowing around in our winds early this Wednesday morning.
Mostly cloudy skies Wednesday with highs only in the mid to upper 10s. Wednesday afternoon, there could be some pockets of snow flurries or even a quick burst of light snow, especially along and east of the Mississippi River. It could be enough in a few isolated spots to put down a quick additional dusting.
Another frigid night ahead as skies begin to clear. Temperatures will fall to around 0 F and wind chills will drop to -10 to -20 as we are waking up Thursday morning. Very cold Thursday afternoon, highs only in the mid to upper 10s. Friday will start in the single digits, but with lighter winds.
By Friday afternoon, we are starting to climb out of the deep freeze. Warmer each day into the weekend. Top temps will be close to 30 F Friday, close to 40 F Saturday, and close to 50 F on Sunday.
