ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. – One person was killed and three others were injured in an overnight crash in rural St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the crash happened Sunday, just before 1:40 a.m., on Laws Road near Back Creek.
Four adults, ages 18 to 20, were traveling in a 2007 Scion TC when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene just after 2 a.m. She was 19.
The three passengers suffered moderate injuries.
According to the crash report, the driver was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. The 19-year-old man was not wearing a seat belt as well. The report does not specify if the other passengers had their seat belts on.
