ST. LOUIS – What better way to kick off 314 Day than with a run through one of St. Louis’ most iconic parks?

Go! St. Louis and Washington University teamed up to host a free fun run Friday morning to celebrate St. Louis pride with a 3.14-mile course through Forest Park. The event welcomed runners of all levels, from experienced marathoners to casual joggers looking to join in the festivities.

Participants gathered at Washington University’s East End before taking off at 6:30 a.m. on a scenic route through the park, a St. Louis staple, before returning to the start line for a well-earned reward—donuts and coffee.

With an expected turnout of 80 to 100 runners, the event not only honored 314 Day, but also served as a preview for the Greater St. Louis Marathon, set for April 26. That race, hosted by Go! St. Louis and Greater St. Louis, Inc., will celebrate its 25th year in 2025, promising an even bigger celebration for runners across the region.

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for a fun way to celebrate St. Louis, the 314 Day run was a great way to get moving and embrace everything that makes the city great.
