ST. LOUIS — A 53-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped and robbed while with his daughter in the city’s Baden neighborhood on Saturday night.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, the robbery took place around 10 p.m. on Saturday near Lowell and Jackson Streets after the man had picked up his 33-year-old daughter.
The man’s daughter had instructed him to go Lowell and Jackson Streets, and once they arrived, four male suspects forced the man into a vacant building at gunpoint.
The man told police he was struck in the face with a firearm and robbed of his clothing, jewelry, and money while inside the vacant building. During the robbery, the man said his daughter talked to the suspects as if she knew them personally.
Police have confirmed whether there is a connection between the daughter and the male suspects.
The man said the suspects did not let him leave the vacant building until 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim suffered from a facial injury but declined medical attention, police said.
