ST. LOUIS – Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a holdup in the city’s Penrose neighborhood.

According to a police spokesperson, the robbery took place around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of North Taylor and San Francisco avenues.

Police said the 65-year-old victim was giving a ride to two men he knew as acquaintances when one of the men pressed something into the victim’s back and told him he had a gun.

The man told the 65-year-old to transfer money to him through a cash app. The victim complied and the two suspects exited the car and walked away.
