ST. LOUIS — A 72-year-old driver was shot in the back by another driver while he was sitting at a red light, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police.
Police said they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower back after the shooting at North Kingshighway and Thekla around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The 72-year-old man told officers he was at a red light when a car behind him began honking their horn. Then, he heard gunshots and felt pain to his back.
Police said EMS responded and took the 72-year-old to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
