ST. LOUIS – The snow has moved out and our skies are beginning to slowly clear Thursday.
Breezy and cold out the door Thursday, with temperatures in the teens and wind chills in the single digits. We will see a nice amount of sunshine Thursday afternoon and clear skies into this evening. Highs only in the mid to upper 20s. Overnight temperatures will again dip into the mid-10s, but with lighter winds.
Clouds quickly return Friday morning ahead of our next storm system, so it will be a bit of a gloomy Valentine’s Day. This storm is going to come with a strong southwest flow that will quickly erase the morning cold. Temperatures will climb into the upper 30s during the day and hold in the mid to upper 30s overnight. Rain will move in late Friday night and continue into Saturday.
Saturday’s temps will pop into the mid-40s before dropping behind a cold front. That will likely cause the last of the rain Friday evening to mix with or change to wet snow before ending. With the wet ground, accumulation shouldn’t be an issue. Another big shot of cold air comes in behind the wet weather for Sunday.
