ST. LOUIS – Cardinals legend-turned-country artist Adam Wainwright will team up with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a performance next year.
Wainwright and the orchestra will work together to perform songs off of his new country album “Hey Y’all.”
The performance is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at Stifel Theatre. It will be a celebration of “music, baseball, and Americana,” according to event organizers.
Wainwright’s first album includes hits such as “Time To Fly,” “A Song Will Bring You Back,” and the album namesake “Hey Y’all,” which he performed at his Busch Stadium sendoff concert last fall. Many of Wainwright’s songs are about his upbringings, family and baseball career.
Music started as a hobby several years ago for Wainwright, but has since evolved to unique opportunities like singing the National Anthem at Baseball games, performing solar eclipse-themed concerts and opening for the Zac Brown Band.
Tickets for Wainwright’s upcoming performance with SLSO range from $45-110. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
