ST. LOUIS — Snow blankets the St. Louis region today, and the slick streets are causing a traffic mess. Aerial footage from Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX helicopter shows a city turned into a winter landscape, with the iconic downtown skyline barely visible through snow-laden skies.

On Interstate 64, traffic crawls near Forest Park Parkway. Near Busch Stadium, usually busy highways have become white ribbons cutting through the city.

The situation grew dire on Lindbergh Boulevard at Olive, where a large snowplow became stranded on the onramp.

At the Blanchette Bridge, vehicles cautiously make their way between St. Charles and St. Louis County, while snow plows work to maintain critical bridge lanes.

City officials urge residents to stay home unless travel is essential, as road crews continue to push the snow off the roads.
