ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An Affton man was arrested last week for allegedly stabbing his roommate with a knife after an argument.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the attack happened on July 18 in the 9000 block of Radio Drive.

Police said the victim was in his bedroom when Jeffrey C. Sluka (age not provided) stormed in and slashed at his leg with a kitchen knife.

The victim suffered a deep cut on his leg and was rushed to the hospital. Sulka was arrested at the scene and admitted to cutting the victim, police said. The knife was recovered and taken into evidence.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Sluka with second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Sluka was jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond. He’s due in court on July 26 for a bond reduction hearing.
