Alton hosts Fireworks on the Mississippi River Festival

ALTON, Ill. – The celebration of Independence Day began a day early for those in Alton with the city’s fireworks spectacular.

The evening started with a lineup of food trucks, then entertainment began with DJ Bright, setting the mood for a fun evening. As dusk fell, the main event was fireworks along the Mississippi River.

For those who missed the Alton firework show, Celebrate St. Louis’ show will air Thursday night on St. Louis 11.
