ST. LOUIS – The Ancient Order of Hibernians Parade is set to bring Irish heritage to life in the Dogtown neighborhood Monday.

This annual event, a staple since 1984, will feature traditional Irish dancers, bagpipers, and tens of thousands of spectators dressed in green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

The Dogtown Irish Festival kicks off at 9 a.m., offering a full day of events for families and visitors. Live music will start at 1 p.m. at Pat Connolly’s Tavern, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

“The vibe is incredible,” David Guller of Pat Connolly’s Tavern said. “There’s about 800,000 people, families, kids, having a great time.”

For those planning to attend, it’s advised to arrive early and consider ridesharing options, as parking will be limited.

Drop-off and pick-up spots are designated on Oakland Avenue just west of Hampton Avenue. Several streets, including Tamm Avenue from West Park to Manchester Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 6 a.m. and will remain closed throughout the day.

Manchester from Prather to Graham will reopen at 2 p.m., while the Bud Light Party Zone area will stay closed until 10 p.m.

With spring break coinciding with the parade, many families are expected to join the celebration, making it a true neighborhood event for the St. Louis community.
