ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Charles County Circuit Court judge signed an arrest warrant for a Kirkwood man charged with a weekend shooting.
According to the St. Charles County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 at a local gas station.
Police said surveillance video from the gas station shows two men approached the service station window. Three other men, including the victim, were also at the window.
The victim said he recognized one of the other men as his friend, Rashawn L. Galloway (age not provided).
The victim told police that Galloway had been speaking ill of him and confronted him about the matter.
Police said the two men got into an argument and Galloway turned and walked away towards a vehicle parked at a gas pump. Galloway then reached into his waistband, took out a firearm, and began shooting at the victim.
The victim was shot in his right arm and torso. Galloway and a witness got into their vehicle parked at the pump and drove away.
The vehicle was later found in Alton, Illinois, at an address associated with the witness, police said. Galloway was not at the home at the time.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Galloway with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. At present, police said Galloway is on probation for possession of firearms and drugs. As a result, the U.S. Marshals Service has an active full extradition warrant against him. Galloway is also suspected in multiple shootings in Alton.
Anyone with information on Galloway’s whereabouts is asked to contact their nearest law enforcement agency.
