ST. LOUIS – Clear and bitterly cold Thursday morning. Air temperatures are near 0 F and wind chills are in the -10 to -20 range out the door. With those conditions, frostbite can set in on exposed skin in about 30 minutes.

Lots of sun and just a few clouds Thursday, but we won’t warm up much, highs only in the mid to upper teens. Friday will start in the single digits, but, with high pressure right on top of us, winds will be calm so wind chills won’t be as much of a factor. Still, a dangerously cold start.

By Friday afternoon, winds swing out of the south and we start our climb out of the deep freeze. Top temps will be close to 30 F Friday, close to 40 F Saturday, and close to 50 F on Sunday.

Things looks dry throughout the weekend. Monday and Tuesday temps next week are likely to pop close to 60 F. Watching for some rain chances midweek.
