ST. LOUIS – An overnight pursuit involving officers from the Brooklyn (Illinois) Police Department ended with a driver crashing a vehicle in St. Louis.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says the pursuit ended around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

SLMPD reports that officers from the Brooklyn Police Department pursued a Dodge Ram that was allegedly involved in a previous crash with a Hyundai Elantra.

The Dodge Ram made its way into the City of St. Louis, and it overturned near Washington Avenue and North Grand Boulevard.


Police review new evidence in I-55 fatal shooting

Multiple people believed to be involved in the crash were sent to nearby hospitals and listed in critical, but stable condition, according to SLMPD.

One light pole and one building also sustained various extents of damage in the crash.

The Brooklyn Police Department will handle the investigation related to the pursuit, while SLMPD is investigating the crash.
